Darshana: A Glimpse into the Hindu Civilization Exhibition

Saturday, November 14 10 a.m.–12 noon at Main Branch

This special poster exhibition discusses, in depth, Hindu concepts and practices, offering an opportunity to learn about one of the oldest civilizations in the world with continuing global presence today. The exhibition features a variety of topics, ranging from yoga and divinity to mathematics and administration, demonstrating how Hindu knowledge has manifested in all aspects of human endeavor.

In recognition of International Day of Persons with Disabilities (December 3), the Library and the Town of Ajax are proud to host the Beyond Barriers Art Show, celebrating creativity, resilience, and diverse perspectives. Artists and writers of all ages who identify as persons with disabilities or advocates for the disability community are invited to submit their artwork or written work for display in this special exhibition.

All types of art media, including pen, pencil, paint, crayon, collage, pastels, markers, or any combination of these, are welcome, as we want to showcase your voice and vision. This is a platform to inspire, connect, and amplify the talents of our community. Pick up an entry form at any branch, or download a copy here.

Artwork Dropoff: Tuesday November 17, 4–8:30 p.m. and Saturday November 21, 9:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m.
Artwork on Display: December 1–31 at Main Branch
Opening Reception: Wednesday, December 2, 6:30–8:30 p.m. at Main Branch
