Volunteers 18 years of age and older must complete a Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Check

Foreign college and university students can use their volunteer hours as Canadian work experience.

Teen Volunteer Opportunities (completed Grade 9 to age 19)

  • Le Club Français

During this weekly 1.5 hour program at Main Branch, you will assist kids ages 6 to 12 with reading while having fun with crafts, games and technology in French.

Adult Volunteer Opportunities (20+)

  • Older Adults Advisory Committee

If you are 55+ and a resident of Ajax, the Library needs you!

The Older Adults Advisory Committee (OAAC) is looking new members. The group meets monthly and advises the Library on programs and services related to older adults.

Applications will be accepted until Wednesday, Nov. 30. Please submit your information via our Volunteer Application.

We’re looking for adults that have extensive experience with iPads, tablets, Skype, social media platforms and online games to teach one-on-one educational sessions with seniors. Speaking another language is an asset.
