Visiting Ajax Archives

The Ajax Archives maintains a display case in Town Hall and a display table in the Local History area of Ajax Public Library’s Main Branch to promote the history of Ajax.

Public access to the Archives is not permitted, but items may be made available, either digitally or physically through a Research Request.

Please be aware that not all originals are available for in-person viewing. The Archives will strive to make archival material available for use either in physical or digital format where feasible. 

Requests for in-person visits should be submitted at least one (1) week in advance and the visits will be held at Main Branch, 55 Harwood Ave. S.

Using Ajax Archives

Many of the photos, documents, and history books in the collection have been digitized and can be viewed by visiting the OurOntario website

If you are a researcher looking for information that may be in the collection, please fill out the Research Request form.
